This workshop is part one in our Ergonomic Series

This workshop aims to develop an understanding of the principles behind risk assessing for fitness for work and skills in undertaking functional capacity assessments. This is a practical skills-based workshop.

Learning Outcomes:
Understand the principles of assessing fitness to work
Undertake and document a job demands analysis
Screen for psychosocial issues and understand the impact these have on the assessment and work
Understand the relevance of clinical examination in determining fitness for work
Select and report on simple functional measurement tests that relevant to the clinical findings and job demands
Practice functional measurement tests
Provide an opinion on an individual’s fitness for work and write a report
