Asleep on the job: the impact of sleep on fitness for work

The demands of the modern workplace often clash with our biological clocks and our need for sleep. This leads to adverse health consequences for workers and has an enormous impact on safety in the workplace. This meeting will provide a comprehensive overview of our current understanding of these complex issues as well as providing practical guidance on how to design work schedules and work environments to protect health and promote safer working.

Aims and objectives:

  • To know about the adverse consequences that limited sleep can have on workers and the impact this has on safety in the workplace
